Studio Black Avenue,
based in Southern Oregon, is a fabricator and designer of custom metal flower arrangements and adornments.
The space is dedicated to creating metal flower sculptures out of copper and steel, using Oxyacetylene, torch. Each creation is hand cut, welded, reshaped, and sealed with a clear coating.

Ashtine Rieke's love for the flame stems back 20 years. The initial spark of her love for metal art roses.
She delved into all four years of welding in high school, but flame jumped into ceramics for 3 years in college. She then spent some time learning different techniques with clay that built her confidence into teaching others ceramics

She delved into all four years of welding in high school, but flame jumped into ceramics for 3 years in college. She then spent some time learning different techniques with clay that built her confidence into teaching others ceramics at UVAA in Roseburg. During that stint, she continued welding at her home studio..... Plus, learning tricks of the trade in advance flame-work with glass in Eugene.
In 2016, Ashtine was inspired to focus on her old roots with the flame, incorporating what she had learned from glass and clay. With her multiple skills and ambition, she launched her metal flower shop in 2018 and currently owns and operates Studio Black Avenue LLC independently.
